Northwest Building has a long history of investing in industrial properties in the greater Puget Sound.   Over the past several decades, the company has assembled an industrial portfolio totaling nearly 6 million square feet consisting of big-box distribution centers, business parks, and flex/incubator properties.  Northwest Building is a direct investor, utilizing its own capital to fund new investments and holding those assets for generations. Our acquisition program is focused on institutional quality assets with a preferred minimum value of $10 million.

Northwest Building has invested significant capital in recent acquisitions of self-storage facilities. Our self-storage acquisition initiative is focused on value-add opportunities in strong, high barrier-to-entry markets in the Western U.S.  Core and core-plus acquisitions that complement our existing self-storage network are also considered for investment.   

Development

Development

Northwest Building has developed more than five million square feet of space in several of the area’s premier industrial parks. The company’s development history goes back decades and, in addition to industrial parks, includes the development of office buildings and shopping centers.

Northwest Building has developed more than one million square feet of Class A self-storage facilities along the West Coast.  Our current development activity is focused on urban infill and suburban self-storage projects, including ground up developments, redevelopments, and adaptive re-use. Ideal land acquisitions include sites in urban or tier one suburban neighborhoods on the West Coast.
